Main Purpose of the Job

Fundamentally the role will be to assemble and test Valves, fire hydrants, deluge systems and firefighting equipment to customer specifications and high industry standards. This could also include onshore / offshore servicing and commissioning visits in the UK and overseas dependent upon experience.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
-Assembly and test of valves & components including repairs and servicing.
-Assembly and test of valves/ equipment designed to protect oil and gas terminals / tank farms and other oil and gas systems onshore/offshore.
-Material identification traceability log reporting.
-Issuing and documenting test logbooks from product work instructions.

Following processes and quality standards to meet with ISO 9001 2015 during the assembly and test process.
Support senior site service engineers with commissioning and service agreements.
Creating site reports and all relevant risk assessments prior to service visits.
Liaising with the Quality department upon receipt of defective components / parts. Participate in stock counts and reconciliation against inventory.

Knowledge and Skills:
-Knowledge of MRP systems and processes.
-Customer Focused.
-Understanding of valves and control systems
-Ability to work efficiently and accurately with Excellent Organizational skills.
-Literate, analytical, numerate with good IT skills.
-Fully competent with all Microsoft systems Application and internet.

Hours of Work:
-Monday to Thursday 07:30am - 16.00 pm.
-Friday: 07:.30am - 12:.30pm.
-Plenty of overtime available.

Basic Salary is circa £22K with Overtime available @ time & 3rd Mon-Fri and time & 1/2 Saturdays.

Qualifications
-Time served mechanical engineering apprenticeship or equivalent
-Good general level of education.
-Knowledge of mechanical engineering
