COMPANY & JOB TITLE:

Roofing company within the construction industry is looking to hire an experience Cladding Estimator to their team.

REPORTING TO & MAIN RESPONSIBILITY

Working alongside the contracts manager and installation team, you will be required to prepare tenders while also attracting new business using existing clients and bringing on new ones.

DUTIES:
Main responsibilities for the role will include:

-Preparing, negotiating and winning tender bids
-Work alongside directors to utilize client meetings and provide new business
-Promote and develop relationships with clients
-Secure relationships with new premier suppliers, while also continuing to develop relationships with existing ones
-Procurement of materials, equipment, and labor costs
-Prepare accurate take-offs from drawings
-Negotiation of prices from both suppliers and sub-contractors
-Manage estimation and commercial aspects as well as surveyors on roofing and cladding projects
-Understand and interpret site requirements while liaising with the drawing office
-Update database and keep records of client interactions
-Create handover documents for contracts manager and installation teams
-Working with customers to ensure that project schedules are kept to
-Create bids for new contracts
-Ensure implementation of projects run smoothly across all departments

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
The ideal candidate will come from a construction background with a minimum of 5 years experience working in the cladding/ roofing industry.

Along with this, you will ideally have:

-Experience producing tenders and undertaking take-offs from construction drawings
-Be able to interpret drawings to an expert level
-Experience in Roofing, cladding, built up systems and also seam systems
-A network of clients with good relationships
-Excellent communication skills
-Excellent computer skills including Microsoft office
-Good professional telephone skills
