Ambitek are currently looking to recruit an experienced Estimator within the field of rolling stock.

It is essential you come from a rolling stock background in some capacity as an engineer, as this is a customer facing role where you will be expected to provide product knowledge on rolling stock.

Your duties will involve:-

- Preparation of the supply of services required (maintenance, guarantee,
supply of spare parts), including analysis of specifications, preparation of
documentation and budget for the offer
- Prepare & maintain detailed estimates for projects
- Evaluate sub contractors and supplier quotations
- Attend meetings with potential clients during pre-bid phases
- Monitoring analysis of awarded projects for preparation of new offers
- Attend project & various other meetings
- Request and manage offers with suppliers
- Presentation of offers with subsequent meetings for
clarification/negotiation
- Supporting other areas of the team to complete tenders
- Understand and interpret technical specifications and drawings in order to
produce estimates

You will be expected to travel between Manchester, Coventry & Spain regularly, potentially being away from home up to a full week a time.

Requirments:-

- Full UK Drivers Licence & Car
- Qualified Engineer (HND, Degree, NVQ or equivalent)
- Flexibility working away from home

This is a permanent position with a leading rolling stock manufacturer based out of their Manchester Depot.
