Day shift based role although a degree of flexibility may be required to suit customer demand

Setting and operating of injection moulding machines

Performing tool changes and set-up

Fault diagnosis on moulded parts (flash, short-shots etc)

Assembly, inspection & packing of moulded parts

Maintain up-to-date reporting of production and quality via ERP system

Maintain the machines and work areas to the company expected standard

Any other reasonable requests from time to time

PERSON SPECIFICATION

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

Experience of operating injection moulding machines between 25-125 tonnes

Knowledge of Sumitomo Demag machines desirable

Reasonable level of verbal, written communication & IT skills

Recognised plastics industry qualification (NVQ, ONC, HNC etc.) would be desirable, though not essential

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

Highly motivated & flexible

Reliable and a good timekeeper

Keen attention to detail

Able to work independently or as part of a team
