Service Engineer, Up to £34,000, Fantastic Holidays and Pension, Wolverhampton

Our Client, a leading European manufacturer & distributor of Access Platforms, is looking for a SERVICE ENGINEER to join their team based at their brand-new facility in Wolverhampton.

Under the responsibility of the Service Manager, the post holder will work within the service team to deliver a high level of technical and customer service.

The Service Engineer will be responsible for:

Repairing all machines on site and occasionally off site
Attending workshop activities such as the loading and unloading of parts and equipment
Attending machine breakdowns and carrying out planned maintenance & inspection in the field as directed by the Service Admin team
Carrying out diagnostic work
Carrying out incident investigations and writing up relevant reports
Providing fantastic customer service
Qualifications / Experience / Knowledge / Skills Requirements

Essential

Formal Engineering qualification (BTEC, NVQ, etc)
Proven experience in construction / plant / access equipment diagnosis & repair
Previous experience of working in a powered access technical role
Demonstrable skills in hydraulics and electrical wiring
Appropriate levels of IT skills to enable best use of available information and communications as necessary for the post (Office, Outlook, Internet)
Ability to clearly express / technical information, both orally and written, clearly and concisely and ability to understand and explain technical terms commonly in use in own area of work.
Capacity to analyse problems and identify their cause, considering all possible solutions to identify those which offer wider benefits.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish good working relationships with colleagues and customers
Salary up to £34,000 based on experience with overtime paid when required. You will be entitled to 25 days holiday plus bank holidays with the opportunity to earn bonus holidays after long service. You can also expect a great pension with the employee matching your 5% contribution.
