Our client is a medium sized engineering firm who are looking for a production/despatch operative to join the team.

THE ROLE
DUTIES OF ROLE
The operative has the following responsibilities and duties:
• Finished components are packed and labeled correctly.
• All paperwork is completed correctly and bookings made on the system
• Relevant procedures I processes are adhered to
• Assist in creating packing procedures where required.
• All stoving and dipping cycles are completed where required.
• All component printing is done where required
• Carry out quality checks on products and record the information accurately where required.
• Observe Safe Working Procedure, H&S instructions, and additional training while operating machinery or working on processes.
• Check emergency stops as per instructions and fill out the relevant paperwork.
• Raise any performance or H&S issues immediately with the cell leader or supervisor.
• Making sure that machinery and production areas are kept clean, maintaining a high level of house-keeping and fill out the relevant paperwork.
• Make suggestions on how to improve the processes in relation to product quality or process times.
• To carry out additional reasonable duties as required by business needs.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
• Experience of working within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience of using hand-held measuring equipment (eg Vernier I Micrometer)
• Experience of working in a target driven environment
• Knowledge of Syteline would be advantageous

The role is on a 6 am to 2 pm shift with an early finish on a Friday.
