Ambitek is currently looking for a Crewing Officer for our client based in Liverpool.

As a Crewing Officer, you will be responsible for the seafarer employment lifecycle through contemporary HR practice and regular liaison with 3rd party crewing providers.

Duties & responsibilities include:-
-Ensure an efficient, effective and customer focussed HR service for both directly employed crew or those engaged via 3rd party employees
-Be familiar with the Company Emergency Response Procedure within the IMS in relation to crew management
-Act as the first point of contact on a day to day basis for the Coasters and vessels
-In collaboration with the HR, Team ensure full crew complement are scheduled to undertake identified training from the agreed training matrix
-Organising ad-hoc travel, visas and lodging related to marine personnel training and deployment
-Ensure document control system of all personnel is applied
-Be familiar with the crew competency development programmes and initiatives in conjunction with the appointed crew managers
-Provide crew management out of hours cover as necessary

Requirements:-
-Provide crew management out of hours cover as necessary
-Foundation knowledge of Employment Law in a Marine context
-Foundation knowledge of Marine Management operations
-The role places a lot of emphasis on the logistical/HR side of things so it is essential you come from a similar type of background from the Marine Industry.
