COMPANY & JOB TITLE
Global winch manufacturer is looking to add an experienced Business Development Manager to join their Sales department, covering the UK.

REPORTING TO & MAIN RESPONSIBILITY
Reporting to the General Manager you will be responsible for implementing the marketing and sales strategy to help maximise business growth, through new and existing customers.

While working in your region you will look to increase hire and sales revenues, while also developing and strengthening existing relationships.

DUTIES
-Duties involve using your industry knowledge to engage decision makers within the sectors outlined.
-Build relationships with new clients to increase business revenue. Identify existing customers that could benefit from new services or by expanding current offerings.
-Forecast sales targets and provide monthly reports to the General Manager. Identify and develop existing accounts.
-Respond to customer complaints in a swift and timely manner.
-Have a key understanding of the current market within the region including, pricing, competitors, market size and opportunity.
-Be aware and knowledgeable about safety guidelines regarding winching equipment.
-Understand company health and safety policies, while also being aware of environmental procedures.
-Complete daily administration tasks in line with company policies.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
-A proven track record in selling products or services within the engineering/technical environment is essential.
-Understand the phases of sales development including prospecting, proposal development, negotiation, closing deals, and account management.
-A determined approach to researching and analysing new business opportunities.
-Excellent presentation skills.
-Able to work independently.
-Excellent organisation skills and time management.
-IT literate with knowledge of Microsoft office.
-Full clean UK driving license.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
To succeed you will be a team player, organised, able to work under pressure, authoritative, enthusiastic, presentable, strong communicator with the ability to gain the trust and respect of your colleagues.

DESIRABLE SKILLS
Previous experience working with winching equipment or similar is desirable.
Applicants must have proven sales experience.
Candidates must be willing to travel throughout the UK
A vacancy is for the companies Central region currently covering Doncaster down to Peterborough and across and including Wales, so ideally living on the patch but no further than the Doncaster Area.
