Our client is a highly successful manufacturing/ Installations business from designing to manufacturing to installing Nationwide they have been established for over 50 years.
Manage all aspects of the contract – from a confirmed sale to (and including) pre-contract meeting and producing the program. Including project management with the Off-Site Project Manager, Liaising with the client and ensuring total client satisfaction.
Specific Responsibilities:
Installation
Authorisation of installer individual time sheets on a weekly basis. This is to be completed on a Monday morning and passed to accounts for processing. Times need to be checked against the vehicle tracker information for verification. The tracker also needs checking for erratic driver use, speeding, out of hours use especially private use which is not authorised.
• Expenses – Authorising weekly installation expenses including claim forms and validation of receipts.
• Van inspections – inspect vans on a weekly basis ensuring that the correct form is completed by the team leader. Inspect vans on an ad-hoc basis while completing onsite inspections. This includes the 2 pool vans used by support and estimating.
• Health & Safety in the factory – Ensure that installers are complying with working practices including RAMS and PPE.
• Planning of installations with production every Friday at production and planning meetings. Schedule team and locations looking at location/stopovers/hotels/working hours/travel hours. Anything over 2.5 hours travel requires review.
• Ensure installers take the correct paperwork and return paperwork, correctly filled in.
• Complete installer grievance & disciplinary issues in line with the Company policy..
• Authorisations of installer’s holidays.
• Working with the On-Site Project Manager with all Communication from a site, any issues need reporting to the admin office immediately. This includes traffic issues, electricians, and installation issues.
• Managing Installer training with Office Admin and the Assistant Contracts Manager – ensuring records are up to date inc Asbestos, CSCS, First Aid, Face Fit, PASMA.
• Manage the vans with Admin re service MOT etc
• Review Site Installation procedures with Sales Director and Assistant Contracts manager and ensure they are up-to-date and suitable.
• Inspection of product before it leaves the Factory for site – using the approved form.
• Working with the Off-Site Project Manager, programming in - Installer (including sub-contractors) snagging, to ensure all snagging gets complete in a timely manner.
• Working with the Off-Site Project Manager Installers KPI’s
• Working with the Off-Site Project Manager Installer - One to Ones – appraisals – Form sent needs to be completed min once a year.
• Working with the Off-Site Project Manager Review Risk Assessments/Method Statement & COSHH for installation.
• Controlling - overnight allowances.
• Controlling - waste return from site to be disposed in the correct manner including van debris
• Managing the Installers when at the Factory, including; keeping the Goods Out area to be kept tidy; ie return of materials from site including booking back in.
• Uniforms – make sure installers are dressed appropriately and in uniform

1 reported: Assistant Contracts Manager
Managing Director, Sales Director, Operations Manager, Senior Management, Design Office, Installation Teams, Accounts Department and Customers.
