Do you want to work for a well-established firm? Do you have experience in the plumbing merchant’s industry? They are now looking to recruit a Branch Manager to join their team.
Reporting to the Directors, the Branch Manager will be responsible for the profitable operation of the Branch. This includes overseeing the Internal Sales, Reception, Sales Counter, Warehouse and Transport teams.

The role will involve:
• Supervising and developing all staff under you and organising them to maximise productivity
• Arranging the purchase of all materials and negotiating buying terms with all the suppliers
• Carrying out stock checks, maintaining records of goods-in and purchase invoices
• Negotiating terms with customers and liaising with the respective Sales Representative
• Overseeing the warehouse and stock control
• Controlling the operation of the transport fleet to ensure efficient delivery to customers
• Promoting Health & Safety standards in the branch
• Recruiting staff when needed, in consultation with the Directors
• Organising local Branch events for the customers

You must have strong management experience and have previously worked in the plumbing merchant’s industry is an advantage.
The working hours 8 - 5, but as Branch Manager, you will be required to work outside of these hours as required.
The salary is between £35k and £40k per annum depending on experience.
The branch is located in Dumfries with excellent transport links, easily accessible from Carlisle.
