Global Engineering firm are looking for an experienced NDT Engineer for on going contract work based at their site in Plymouth.

The Role:
Carry out advanced UT, conventional UT and surface examination NDT to a given specification and censor the results to the applicable acceptance standards.

Experience:
- Experience of Ship/Submarine fabrication or refit experience in an engineering discipline
- Knowledge of NDT processes and their application
- Good level of computer literacy
- A pro active approach to problem solving
- Must be willing to become radiological written approved person (WAP)
- Open to working tanks, confined spaces, at heights and in radiological controlled area

Qualifications:
- Require a minimum of PCN level 2 in MPI and Ultrasonics
- Must have Advanced UT (TOFD/PA PCN level 2)
- ONC in engineering is desirable or craft apprenticeship

Rates of Pay:
This is an on- going contract, paid at £16.70 p/hr LTD for local candidates and £18.62 p/hr LTD for non local candidates. This pay increases to £17.11 and £19.03 LTD respectively after 13 weeks.

Hours:
Standard hours are 36 per week, with Overtime available paid at flat rate. You must be prepared to work shift work including weekends and posses a flexible approach to working patterns.
