Our client are a global engineering firm who are looking to recruit a quality engineer to join the team.

The role involves ensuring the delivery of high-quality products that meet industry and customer standards, while maintaining compliance throughout the production process.

Key Responsibilities:

* Conduct final inspections of finished parts and assemblies

* Perform in-process inspections, including subcontracted processes

* Analyse data and generate certification documents for customer compliance

* Liaise with multiple departments such as Production, Customer Services, and Commercial

* Complete QA documentation, including quality control plans, inspection plans, and test reports

* Handle failed inspections by conducting root cause analysis, collaborating with engineering and production teams to resolve issues, and implementing corrective actions

* Interpret engineering drawings and CAD models with a focus on precision

* Use tools such as CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines), digital calipers, micrometers, and optical comparators to assess part accuracy Skills & Experience:

* Familiarity with ISO9001, AS9100D (Aerospace), and AS9102 (FAI) standards

* Ability to interpret engineering drawings and CAD models

* Experience with First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) in an aerospace environment is preferred

* Strong analytical skills with experience handling and interpreting data for certifications * Ability to resolve issues with a proactive and solutions-focused approach

* Good understanding of quality control and assurance processes

* Experience with measurement tools like CMM, digital calipers, and micrometers is essential Personal Attributes:

* Ability to manage large volumes of work while maintaining quality and compliance

* Strong communication skills and ability to work across different teams
