This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the leading North West employers.

They are looking for an experienced Accounts Clerk, mainly Purchase Ledger.

The Role:

To manage the purchase ledgers and support associate companies in the management of their purchase ledgers. To process payments both domestic and foreign for UK companies. To support when required the weekly payroll when required.

Main tasks of the role: - Purchase Ledger

• Processing purchase invoices

• Prepare and process domestic and foreign payments

• Process bank payments for UK associate companies.

• Investigate purchase ledger queries and other associated management queries.

• Reconcile the credit card statement and post related purchases on the purchase ledger.

• Prepare the purchase ledger monthly reconciliations and reports.

• Monthly reconciliation of Inter-Company Balances

• Review the monthly HMRC Import Data and match to foreign vendor invoicing.

• Prepare any Intercompany recharges for invoicing.

• Assist in preparation of the Auditors file and schedules for all group companies.

• Process expenses incurred from Prepaid Currency Debit Cards.

Sales Ledger Absence cover:

Reporting and recording payments.
Sales order credit management and release.

Knowledge/Experience

Experience and knowledge of working in an account’s environment.
Managing process.
Data entry management.
Reporting skills.• Analysing information.
Basic understanding of accounting.
Proficient with Microsoft programs and accounting software usage.

Good team works skills, actively works with colleagues across the business. Willingness to learn and be flexible in the working arrangements.
Appetite for some future project work
Uses initiative to plan own work schedule to meet deadlines.
Organisational skills and pays attention to detail.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Confidentiality.
Excellent reasoning ability, mathematical ability and analytical/logical thinking skills.
The ability to prioritise tasks, meet tight deadlines and adapt to changing needs.

Hours:

40 hours per week as follows:

Monday to Thursday 08:00 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.
Friday: 08:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The post holder needs to have flexibility to work the hours necessary to fulfil the role.
The company has an on-site gym plus pension and employee care package.
