We are looking to recruit a CNC Machinist to operate a wheel-set re-profiler at our clients site in Chadderton.

The initial idea is for the successful candidate to spend their first 4-6 weeks learning the product in Trafford Park before being more permanently based in Chadderton from Feb/March.

The Machine is a Geminis GR7 wheelset re-profiling lathe with the capability of also machining axles.

Hours of work:

Initially a 6-2. Depending on demand they may have to add another shift. This would mean working 6-2/2-10 alternate weeks.

rates are

£14.28 on 6/2

£14.85 on 2 shifts

overtime is £19.71

The work scope required on-site is still being finalised, however, it may be beneficial for the machinist to also be willing and able to perform some other duties for example bearing assembly.
